Vervo takes part in Latvian - UAE business forum

Participation in the Expo 2020 Dubai was a great chance to build a foundation for new partnerships. As Latvian entrepreneurs, including Maris Dreimanis - the CEO of Vervo Group, have visited the United Arab Emirates not only to attend the Expo 2020 Dubai but also other business delegation visits of high ranking officials, trade missions, and other exhibitions, it was Latvia’s turn to welcome them here – in Riga. 

On May 11th, a delegation of the UAE State and Entrepreneurs visited Latvia to attend the Latvia – United Arab Emirates business forum, organized by the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia (LIAA). The mission of the event was to strengthen the existing business relations and introduce entrepreneurs and companies to further future cooperation possibilities between Latvia and the United Arab Emirates. 

The event was attended by Maris Dreimanis, CEO of Vervo, Andris Žīgurs, Business Development Manager of Vervo, and Paula Beķere, Marketing Project Manager of Vervo. 

Latvia’s side was represented by LIAA agents, including: Kaspars Rožkalns – Director of LIAA; Jānis Vitenbergs – Minister of the Economics; Atis Sjanīts – Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates

From the UAE side: Abdulnasser Al Shaali – Assistant Minister for Economic and Trade Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation; Humaid Bin Salem – Secretary General, UAE Chambers of Commerce & Industry; Hanan Khalfan Obaid AL Madhani Al Aleelim – Ambassador to the Republic of Latvia

Within the framework of the event, 2 memoranda of understanding were signed - between Employers’ Confederation of Latvia and UAE Federal Chamber of Commerce and Industry as well as between Latvian Exporters Association “The Red Jackets” and Sharjah Research Technology and Innovation Park, UAE.

There is a saying: "If the mountain will not come to Muhammad, then Muhammad must go to the mountain." Although, we do not know who is Muhammad and who is mountain in this case, we enjoyed the United Arab Emirates visit in Latvia.

Next week Maris Dreimanis, the CEO of Vervo Group, is going to Dubai to spend the summer there in order to build stronger existing partnerships and also establish new ones. With our new company in Dubai - Vervo Middle East, we are open to new opportunities!
